Brewpubs, Taprooms and 'Tied Houses'

When I do listicles as main posts, they often get quite hard to find; and this is something I find interesting enough to want to be more easily dug up.

I'm not deciding what is a brewpub or taproom (argue amongst yourselves); and for brewery owned pubs I'm slandering them as 'tied houses' in the title (not something Dublin has ever had many of, but it has had them).

This list is live, as such; in that there will always be changes - hopefully increases

Brewpubs:

1016206 Brewdog Outpost, South Docks - a vast pub with a small brewkit owned by the infamous Scottish brewery

S3452 Camden Deluxe, Camden Street - C&C's Five Lamps Brewery is on-site, albeit the bulk of the product sold under that name is made in Clonmel.

1010753 Open Gate, James Street - Diageo/Guinness pilot brewery with bar/restaurant

1017968 Rascals, Inchicore - pizza, pints and craft spirits from next door (see below) in sight of the brewery

1013149 Urban Brewing, IFSC - a small brewkit in a large enough bar and restaurant, but most other products come from the O'Haras parent brewery in Carlow

(1017593 Guinness Storehouse is realistically too, but you need a ticket)

Brewery owned pubs:

S0211 Arthur Maynes, Donnybrook - Rising Sons Brewery (arguable as to pub company owning the brewery instead, but I'm counting it)

BrĂș Hospitality / Galway Bay Brewery estate:

S0119 Against The Grain, Wexford Street
S0080 Bar Rua, Clarendon Street
S0083 Beer Temple, Dame Street
N0006 Brew Dock, Amiens Street
N0084 The Black Sheep, Capel Street
S0179 The Gasworks, Grand Canal Street

1013317 Four Provinces, Kimmage - Four Provinces Brewery

1020776 The Black Forge, Drimnagh/Crumlin and the former Porterhouse Brewery share ownership, but as the only product now is a mediocre stout, there isn't anything worth visiting for

N0215 Fidelity - Whiplash in association with N0099 Big Romance - visit writeup reflects prior operation on this site.

There is a White Hag co-branded bar in Dublin Airport, but this is operated by an existing hospitality operator as far as I am aware. It also has an Aerodrome licence, not a Publican licence.

Distilleries which allow non-ticketed access to their bar:

1016525 Stillgarden (producers retail on-licence), Inchicore - next door to Rascals.

N1983 Jameson Distillery, Bow Street - IDL spirits [and 8 Degrees (IDL owned) beer - IDL have since sold 8 Degrees and I haven't popped in to check what if any beer they now serve here] available here whether or not you have done a tour.

Former setups:

The pub that is now S0005 JR Mahons, Burgh Quay had an on-site brewery in two prior incarnations (Messrs Maguire and JW Sweetmans), but this was removed in 2023

The Porterhouse chain of pubs and restaurants had a lengthy brewing history at various sites; but has since (2023) sold the brewery to another pub operator and has their products contract brewed elsewhere.
