Pub Openings/Reopenings in 2023

This is the list of most of, but definitely not all of, the pubs that opened/reopened/rebranded after a closure in Dublin in 2023

Opened in 2023:

Clink Hostel, Middle Abbey Street - opened November 2023 with a full licence

Hartys, Nassau Street - not a new pub but a rebrand of one of the elements of the former Porterhouse Central / now Tapped complex

Love Tempo, Thomas Street - music bar to be run by N0099 Big Romance and the club night Mother, replacing 1007228 The Clock

Krewe South, Charlemont Square - assuming this has a pub licence and not a restaurant one

Glasshouse Bar, Point Village - in the large glass box beside the Exo building

N1110 Glen of Aherlow, Emmet Road - reopened with new operator after brief closure

S1470 Swift, Thomas Street - rename after a brief closure of The Magnet.

S0236 The Dunmore, Rathmines - new name for The Bowery, opened November/December 2023

S1476 O'Connors, Crumlin - a portion of the Submarine/O'Connors complex at the Ashleaf S/C reopened November 2023 after some years

NYX Hotel, Portobello - opened November 2023, all other hotels in this chain (Jurys/Leonardo) have full bars.

1020516 O'Regans, Fade Street / Georges Street - opened under the radar, deep Googling suggests its connected to the O'Regans who operate Drury Buildings. Or not - this isn't always reliable.

1020397 Motel One, Liffey Street - full pub licence

N0079 Botanic House, Glasnevin - appears to have reopened after 18 months in early September 2023 (notably this pub did trade all the way through COVID until a few weeks before the final restrictions lifted)

1020285 The Voyager, Dame Street - new Louis Fitzgerald premises opened September 6th

N0060 Legal Eagle, Chancery Street - reopened September 6th as itself following the pop-up period as Underdog

Little Lemon, Lemon Street - second, physically separated premises for 1004917 Lemon & Duke, likely to have a pub licence albeit hasn't surfaced yet.

Underdog (3.0), Capel Street - replacing N0097 Taco Libre / Paddle and Peel / Beerhouse, opened June 20th

Chophouse Sandymount - replacing S4470 Mulligans which had only just closed (mid June)

Hogs and Heifers, Liffey Valley - replaced 1011234 TGI Fridays

Christchurch Inn - replacing S3103 Beer Market

Ciss Maddens - new pub on Drury Street that received planning 7 years ago. Licence hasn't surfaced yet

Doll Society - rebrand of sorts of S1451 Anti Social after closure

JR Mahons - a rebrand of S0005 JW Sweetmans

Devils Cut, Inchicore - replacing N1124 Tom Taveys

The Storyteller, replacement for S0144 Becky Morgans on Grand Canal Street

1019890 Pawn Shop, Dame Street - replacing the closed Berlin D2; this time with a full pub licence rather than a theatre licence.

1019774 disndat - bar of the RezzD2 hotel on Dame Court.

Questionable status:

Premier Inn Gloucester Street opened March 2023 - unsure of bar facilities, and no licence yet.

Premier Inn, Newmarket Square - opened November 2023. As above. The older Premier Inns have full licences but bars are not easily accessible to the pub.

Premier Inn, Castleforbes Road - opened December 2023, as above.
