  1. Hi Cian, Love your Blog.

I operate a business that is looking to facilitate connections between former Irish public house owners and potential purchasers based on the African continent (at present I two parties interested in East and Southern Africa). Our objective is to create opportunities for the unique culture and heritage of the traditional Irish pub to be introduced to new markets where it has not yet been widely experienced or developed. (This is actually something that I did in 2003 when I bought all the fixtures and fittings of Mulligan’s The Linen Hall in Drogheda, and shipped them out to Uganda where I opened Bubbles O’Leary’s.)

In this context, I was wondering if you had a list of pubs in Dublin/Leinster that have ceased trading within the past five years. The purpose of this request is to enable us to contact former proprietors to determine whether they may have an interest in selling existing bar fittings and related contents.

Would be really interested in chatting to you re: all things 'Dublin pubs' and also discussing some ideas with you. If you are able to assist re: the above please could you email me on ag1759@gmail.com (and yes, the ag1759 refers to our frined Arthur Guinness!!)

    Cheers Cian.
